ABOUT

Misticanza is an independent space.

Misticanza was initiaded by Luca Fiammetta

Luca is an architect with BSc from the Politecnico di Milano and MSc Technische Universiteit Eindhoven. He gained professional experience in the Netherlands, working on sustainable architecture and parametric design, specializing in the use of natural materials such as bamboo, wood, and raw earth. He has also had the opportunity to work in countries like Uganda, Ghana, South Africa and Perù, promoting sustainable development, natural building, and community empowerment practices.

Luca has since focused his attention on participatory architecture,  focusing on urban regeneration and the revitalization of inland areas. He now works as a freelancer, coordinating co-design projects and active participation initiatives, fostering community creation through self-build workshops and redevelopment efforts that make everyday spaces more inclusive and sustainable.

Luca believes deeply in the power of hands-on work and the essence of the "making" process. For him, creating isn’t just about design—it’s about directly engaging with and understanding materials, processes, and social relationships. This tactile approach is central to his philosophy and practice.
